Volunteers to focus on offering support for youth and education
More than 1,400 D.A. Davidson Companies associates across the country will have the opportunity to serve as volunteers this month for the firm’s D.A. Davidson Day. At a company known for its focus on social responsibility and philanthropy, the company-wide event represents a key component in a robust group of initiatives that benefit nonprofit organizations.
“Supporting volunteerism has always been an integral part of our company culture, and it’s such an honor to be celebrating our fifth anniversary of this event,” said Jim Kerr, D.A. Davidson Companies Chairman and CEO. “Especially this year, with the COVID-19 pandemic and so many in need, it’s more important than ever to lend a helping hand.”
D.A. Davidson Day is scheduled for Sept. 20-25 in locations spanning the United States.
Recognizing how much the pandemic has affected children and teens, the focus of this year’s event is support for youth, and associates were encouraged to volunteer for an organization centered on this mission, or another worthwhile cause. The nonprofit groups that will benefit from D.A. Davidson Day were nominated and selected by local D.A. Davidson associates. In addition to child-focused organizations, they include organizations that provide homeless shelter, low-income housing, food, senior services, youth programs, animal shelters and more.
“As a meaningful event, D.A. Davidson Day is something that our professionals look forward to each year,” Kerr said. “We look forward to making an impact and continuing this tradition for years to come.”
