D.A. Davidson Expands Whole Loan Trading Desk with Strategic Hires and Record Growth

Firm strengthens capabilities across loan sectors to better serve lending clients.
As D.A. Davidson’s Whole Loan Trading Desk experiences unprecedented growth, the firm is investing in top talent to meet rising client demand. The team recently welcomed three new professionals whose combined expertise spans decades and touches every corner of the debt capital markets.
- Chris Williams, SVP Whole Loan Sales: Chris brings over 20 years of whole loan trading experience and joins the team from FHN. He specializes in Bulk, Flow, and Loan Participations working with originators, community depositories, and private credit firms. Prior to his position at FHN, Chris worked at Stifel Nicholas on their loan trading desk.
- Tek Sobotka, VP Head of Transaction Management: Tek joins us from HomeStreet Bank and brings a decade of transaction management experience as well as a wealth of knowledge in multifamily, CRE, and single-family product. Prior to joining HomeStreet, Tek spent five years as a senior analyst in the securitization group at Deloitte & Touche LLP.
- Lindsay McCuen, VP Whole Loan Sales: joins the D.A. Davidson team and brings over 7 years of experience in mortgage capital markets. Prior to joining Davidson, Lindsay was Co-Head of Capital Markets at Better Mortgage and was on the Agency Mortgage Trading Desk at Goldman Sachs.
