D.A. Davidson Companies has named the annual recipients of the company’s highest honors, the Bragg Lewis Knutson Community Service Award and the Ian B. Davidson Cultural Excellence Award, nominated for their service in 2025. These prestigious awards recognize associates for their commitment to community service, professionalism, and adherence to the company’s core values.
Brad Cederberg of Butte, Montana, received the Bragg Lewis Knutson Community Service Award, given in recognition of outstanding volunteer efforts.
Brad Cederberg, Senior Vice President, Financial Advisor, has been recognized for his long-standing commitment to education and community engagement. He leads D.A. Davidson’s Student Investment Program at the University of Montana where it has evolved into a full-fledged senior level finance course. Nearly a decade ago, Cederberg returned to the program he once participated in as an undergraduate in what was a full circle moment. Under his leadership, the course has become one of the College of Business’s most popular offerings, and the University of Montana continues to rank among the top-performing student investment groups in the program. In 2024, he received the school’s Accounting and Finance Outstanding Adjunct Award.
Cederberg’s dedication to students extends beyond finance. When a local middle school sought volunteer robotics coaches, he stepped in despite having little experience with Lego robots. Hosting practices at the Missoula branch, he helped guide the aptly named “DA Fish” team to a second‑place finish at the Missoula regional competition and a first‑place award for innovation at the Montana State competition.
Frank D’Angelo of Missoula, Montana, and Crystal Vogl of Great Falls, Montana, have been named recipients of the Ian B. Davidson Cultural Excellence Award. This award recognizes D.A. Davidson employees who are committed to exemplifying the firm’s core values of service excellence, business ethics and integrity, and community involvement. The honor is named for Ian Davidson, Chairman Emeritus of D.A. Davidson Companies, who developed and nurtured the firm’s core values as a company leader for many years.
Frank D’Angelo, Senior Vice President, Financial Advisor, Branch Manager, has been known throughout his career for maintaining the mindset of doing what is best for the company and for the people and offices he manages. His commitment and integrity have earned him the deep trust and respect of his colleagues. As his nominators note, D’Angelo consistently does the right thing, and he does it when no one is looking. Throughout his tenure, he has tirelessly demonstrated a willingness to lead and step up, serving as Branch Manager for the Missoula, Hamilton, and West Fargo branches currently, as well as the Butte, Dillon, Kalispell, and Whitefish branches previously. During the height of the pandemic in 2020, D’Angelo led five branch offices through unprecedented circumstances and helped keep the business running, making sure employees were equipped, prepared, and able to continue providing exceptional client service. D’Angelo’s good works and commitment to his community are already well-established, and he was recognized with the Bragg Lewis Knutson Community Service Award in 2006.
Crystal Vogl, Senior Vice President, Senior Public Finance Analyst, has established a stellar reputation as a consummate professional over her 26 years with D.A. Davidson. With her proactive approach and passion for detail, both her colleagues and external clients know they can count on her to deliver, not just on time, but most often ahead of time. Vogl puts her work ethic, high standards, deep industry knowledge, and initiative to great use when dealing with the complex and evolving regulatory environment surrounding our public finance business. Further, nominators note that Vogl is a strong mentor who is always willing to share her subject-matter expertise and know-how with her colleagues. She is a devoted mother, wife, and Public Finance professional and colleague who also consistently makes time to support her local schools and her church.
