Brad Cederberg, Senior Vice President, Financial Advisor, has a long record of involvement in his community and has supported a number of organizations locally. Of note is his hands-on impact with students and education. Since Ian Davidson spearheaded the first Student Investment Program in 1985, it has grown to include over 20 campuses throughout our footprint. At the University of Montana, it has evolved into a full-fledged senior-level finance course. When Brad agreed to take over the reins for the course at University of Montana almost 10 years ago, it was a full-circle moment. Brad himself participated in the program when he was an undergrad, before he joined Davidson full-time almost 20 years ago. Brad had his work cut out for himself, and he worked diligently to develop a full syllabus worthy of upper-level finance students. Throughout challenges including market fluctuations and pandemic restrictions, Brad carefully developed a course that has become one of the most popular and in-demand at the UM College of Business. In 2024, Brad was recognized with the school’s Accounting and Finance Outstanding Adjunct Award.
Brad’s commitment has also extended to areas outside of his comfort zone. When a middle school teacher put a call out for robotics coach volunteers, Brad stepped up despite the challenging prospect of wrangling a group of middle schoolers and—perhaps even more daunting—a very limited personal level of experience with Lego robots. The team was able to use the Missoula branch office for the practice space, and they worked hard for months on their project. Their practice and dedication paid off with a second-place finish at the Missoula regional competition and eventually first prize for their innovation project at the Montana State competition.
We applaud Brad's work and commitment to his community.
